ENVIRONMENT
Pallet Depot is committed to environmental excellence and works to ensure that waste is kept to a minimum. All possible materials are reused, recycled or repurposed in order to reduce our environmental footprint.
Wondering what to do with all those broken and unusable pallets you have lying around? Don’t just throw them away. Send them to us for repair or recycling! If we can’t turn them back into a pallet, we turn them into black or natural wood mulch for industrial or commercial landscaping, large trail projects and more. We purchase old pallets for these purposes.
We also take wood products that can’t be turned into mulch, wood chips or sawdust and use them to make wood biofuel to be used as both a main combustible fuel source, and for temporary roads, paddocks, riding arena floors, etc.

Black or Natural Wood Mulch
- Fully biodegradable
- Retains moisture
- Stops erosion
- Builds up soil quality
- Controls pests
Wood Biofuel
- Renewable
- Cost-effective
- Reduces greenhouse gases
- Provides excellent source of plant-based fuel for boilers, dryers and other industrial biomass-fired plants
A significant proportion of bulk mulch available for sale to consumers in Southeastern New Brunswick is a result of our recycling efforts.
We manufacture and/or repair well over one million pallets per year. The amount of potential waste is significant; therefore we are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint through repurposing and recycling. Even the nails and other metal parts of pallets are reused or sold as scrap metal for recycling.
For our leadership in the environmental field, Pallet Depot was the proud winner of the 2021 Chamber of Commerce of Greater Moncton Business Excellence Award in the Environmental Excellence category.
